I have a Garrett T3 that needs a rebuild. I am considering doing it myself, but thought i would ask. The rebuild kits go for $80 and less to DIY, so i wouldn't pay more than around $160 or so to someone to do it. Let me know. I might just do it myself.

No one?? Come on people, i need some input. Let me know if you rebuilt the turbo yourself, what was the hardest? I read a lot about rebuilding, and it seems not to hard when you do it right.

I was looking around in my area and every shop I have talked to said that No one round here at least rebuilds them they said for me to order a new center section from garrett, cause the companies dont really sell rebuild kits cause people that rebuild them and dont balence and then complain when their "rebuilt" turbos screw up.

I will just do it myself. For 300+ a could get another in good condition. I have mechanical experience so it's not something i would be doing for a very first time. I will let you know how it goes.
