Before I go to the dealer and buy the timing chain kit, does anyone know where I can get it cheaper?

I found one from oem.overnightautoparts.com for $230, but I wanted to know if anyone has had any problems with them, and if their actual OEM parts...

overnightautoparts has always been fine for me.

I remember a long time ago someone researched and found out overnight gets the parts from company that makes the OEM nissan parts.

Ok Vice, here ya go. I think I saw in another thread you have an s13, so heres the link to the s13 parts directory: http://www.courtesyparts.com/secondtier_s13.html

Click timing chain kits to the left for SOHC or DOHC. There ya go! Sorry it took so long, been busy today.

^^^^ yup any site with OEM parts I've seen always makes you buy piece by piece...I did a lot of reading about it when I was dealing with my timing chain and I have yet to see an OEM kit, or proof that any other kit is OEM pieces...

Careful with the kits. There's two brands that are available - the japanese OEM kit and the chinese knock off kit, which is a little cheaper.

I bought mine from a local shop for like $150 for the OEM kit or so a year ago before I did my turbo upgrade. If you like, I can find out the # for you.

stay away from anything that says made in china. Whole my life i have seen quality over quantity tadition of chinese manufacturing.

*nothing against chinese people, I love their food.
