Well the engine came from Japan will some serious hole in the block, I never though a rod could actually do so much damage, you have to see it to believe it. I know these enignes are tough, but I don't think it is from reving it up high, it has to be from shifting down on high rpm. I have been shifting at 7krpm with out any problem, so I know these engines will take the abuse, but you have to maintain them, using a good grade oil, will definitely help illiminate such a problem. I will get some pics and post them.

Get those pics up i wanna see that hole I went to my friends work at the local nissan dealership and saw a vg30 with a quater sized hole in the side from a rod... kinda nice
