Hey guys, just picked up Tein S tech springs, I was wondering if anybody installed them in their own.
I was quote $300 for install also alarm alignment (whatever that means) which I think it's kinda pricey considering I got the springs brand new for $180 shipped (ebay).
Appreciate any feedback guys.

Yes I did on my M35x- Just pulled them off as I found I could never align the car properly. I had them installed for 300 bucks.

I recommend that if you do this you consider (research) installing the proper upper control arms with the adjustable camber hardware. This will save your tires from cupping due to too much front camber.

I did not like what it did to the ride, it made it choppy and I bottomed out the suspension and it made the road crown more pronounced pulling the car over every imperfection on the road.

Research - and look at coil overs, much more money but an all-around better suspension setup with adjustable ride height and alignment angles.

I got the springs cuz I only want to clear the gap from fender to tire while still keeping the ride stock.
Don't you still need camber kit for coil overs?

depends on the coil over some come with them and some you need to pay extra. The camber adjustment is on the top of the unit- so it depends on the application. Ilya did a nice write up of the system he bought and installed.

Your ride will suffer, you will notice it and I know I regretted about 2 months in- when the car settled and was lower and rougher.

By changing the geometry (springs only) your ride will never be stock- it will be worse- the engineers at Nissan did an excellent job of setting up a heavy sedan with a nice riding and very good handling car.

In my case I could not define if the car handled better etc- it always handled very well and is very agile in the corners. All I really noticed it is that the turn in was quicker. That was all that I could feel- other than the harsher ride

The S techs will give you more of a lower drop... It sounds like the H techs would've been your cup of tea.... I'm lowered on H techs and it got rid of the stock wheel gap ;)

The car handles good for my daily needs. I also have the adjustable front control arms and aligned in spec. If I decide to go to a lower stance, I have the adjustables already.... My signature picture shows the stance from the front

Install prices will vary.... Just go to someone reliable

Yes I wanted the S tech to get more of a drop over the h tech.
I just want my car lowered to clear the gap while still keep the stock ride, expecting my 3rd kid... Kinda on a budget if ya know what I mean.
Any advice or suggestions?

Congrats on the new comer!!!

The S techs will look good, but the ride will be low!!! Just drive careful over bumps.....you can always find used springs on the forums...

Best if you install the front camber arm when installing the new springs, this will save you time & money.

I had my eibach springs installed at 50k and drove until around 75-80k. The drop was about the same compared to s tech except the rear was lower by a hair for your springs. I didn't use any camber arms or bolts and never had camber wear that decreased life span of my tires. I have air suspension now and drive about the same height and lower on nice roads with no tire issues. I have taken long trips in my friends M45 when he had s techs and the ride wasn't bad at all. Everyone has different opinions and I'm just telling you mine. GL

I too would be interested in front chamber arms. Can we use the G35 front chamber arms for our M's? Which ones did you buy CPJ LB?

I got the SPC's.... Worth the investment!! I figure the cost for the adjustable arms will allow more tire life.... Every car that I've owned and lowered I made sure I was aligned properly...

I didn't do anything for the rears since I feel it's best for a little camber so handling is optimized. The control arms I picked up were listed for the G35... If I remember correctly
