Im in need of a small favor. i might be seeing a concert in january at the Fillmore, and im needing a place to stay. i dont have any family in SF, at least i dont think i do, so i looked at my second family. so, if anyone wouldnt mind a weird guy staying around for a day, i'd be in great debt. these plans arent super finalized, but i should know soon. thanks

The best way you can get a guaranteed response is by going to http://www.craigslist.org and posting an ad (it's free) in the housing wanted section. Just post in your ad exactly what you posted here. You should be sure to get a response, maybe even from someone that's attending the same concert! I use that site for the weirdest stuff and ALWAYS get a response. I live in the Bay Area, but I won't be in town in January.
