Anyone in the High Desert? (hesperia, victorville, apple valley, etc...)

Thanks for the welcome Spooled!

I should be able to make both of those if i got nothing else going on. So around how many people show up to the Lowes meet every week?

Also are these meets only 240sx or open to anyone to show up?

Oh and i also read earlier in this post about a super target meet. that shopping center is opening up in October. I heard Oct. 15th is the date. Here is a link to whats gonna be there in that center. http://www.hesperiastar.com/on....html

A lot of people show up to the lowes meets, especially when it's a nice warm night. I'd say about half of the entire Lowes parking lot is packed, and then there's the lowriders and motorcycles/bikers too. I only go to hang out w/ some peeps and check out what's new.

That meet on the 3rd has nissans, mazdas, and toyotas, etc..I heard it has some variety. I've never been so I can't really say how it is, but I'm sure it's pretty open to some other cars

yeah, my 08 Altima is my main car, for now. I want to buy a 96-98 Maxima MT. I had a 97 Maxima that i traded in for my 08 Altima. I loved that car so much, if i get the chance i want to buy a used one for like around $2000 and fix it up. Plus i need the money too....thats the main thing holding me back. Isnt that everyones case here???? LOL. For me, its all about the classic 4DSC!!!!!!

Oh and reason why i traded it in and didnt keep my 97 was because it was an AT (i didnt want or feel like doing a MT conversion.) and the transmission went out 2 times and it had 300,000 miles on it.

Just curious whos going to the meet on next friday @ lowes? I didnt make this last one but im gonna try my best to make the next one.

I had a hot date with a 2000 Mittsubishi Galant transmission. Spent my night rebuilding my sister's transmission with my dad so i couldnt go to the meet on friday. Im hoping ill be able to go to the Sunday meet, unless i have a hot date with a person and not a car....unless its a GTR.

Oh yeah she was. A total pain in the A$$. Thats my 3rd rebuild in 6 months. First 2 were from my 97 Maxima and now this. sigh, well atleast i know a transmission can last 300,000 miles with regular maintenance.

What kind of cars and crowd go BTW. Are they fixed up or just car enthusiasts meeting together.....ANY RICERS?

I have never been to the target meet but I've heard that it's pretty sick. I will be there around 9:00 maybe earlier. I'm not sure how steep the driveway is but just come in at a crazy angle and .5 mph

i'll be there sunday night... ima take the Z most likely. the 240 isn't completely done yet. goin up the cajone pass in a 4-speed is gonna suck... but that's fine.... i just hope it's not super hot... no a/c

from what I heard it's all kinds of things of different makes like rx-7's, supras, 240's, etc...this will be my first time, so don't beat my a$$ if there's ghey shyt there lol j/k I think it will be good

Hey guys, i couldnt make the meet tonight, but ill be at the Sunday meet. About the drive way, as long as you come in from the signal light next to taco bell you should be ok, just go slow to make sure. All the other drive ways there are crap. Not too many speed bumps either, if i remember right. MMM.....taco bell. I say the Nissans take up the Taco Bell parking lot. Meet and food at one place, no need to caravan anywhere, unless its for shakes at Sonic!!!! Ill be driving my altima, the one in my signature, so you should be able to spot me easily.

hey spooled I saw you early this morning around five. You pulled in to In and Out Burger off of main st. while I was gassing up my Z. I flashed and honked at you on my way out, not sure if you saw me.

man good new and bad. i fixed my timing chain guide , but thats not my KA's problem . now i know why it wont work. i think i have some fried pistons or somthing (very loud hard knock on the bottom end of the engine). and i wont be ably to make it to the target meet since my 240 isnt working at all. maby next month if i have my car running by then.

Well apparantely the official meet started at 4:00, but I was told 8:00 by others ...4:00 seems pretty early and hot imo..But it was herc(bigherc), kristina(VMP), a black kouki, and me so we made our own meet lol.

Try and make it to the Lowes meet this friday!

nah.. he didn't bring his camera... i was in such a hurry i forgot to tell him to grab it. whoops... ah well

i showed up at about 10ish... so it was just my 280, josh's s14, another s14, and herc's ultima.

i should have gotten pics on my camera... but i'd forgotten

hopefully i'll be up there soon again soon for a friday!

(and no party guests excuses!)
