God I hate the "stance" trend. It's the new bolt-on wing, just it requires a few more payday loans.

Tirerack sells fender rollers.

I believe buddy of mine does it at his job (wheel shop) for something like $25, but don't quote on that. I'll text him now. PM your number.

I bought the right size wheels.. I'm just pushing the tire size a little bit because I did not want to stretch them.

So you knew ahead of time that you would have to roll your fenders and you waited until you got the wheels and tires in to worry about it?

I don't think he installed the wheels/tires yet.

He got his old wheels stolen and bought these new wheels.

I know.

He got new wheels and tires to fit his car, then found out they don't fit... Then said they do fit.

"Got" them stolen? What, did he leave the key for the wheellocks out or something?

He doesn't even have his new wheels.
They come in a week.

They don't fit unless his fenders are rolled.
Then they will.

Make sense?
Hurp.

No, because if he really knew how to fit wheels he wouldn't need a fender roller, because the wheels would... fit.

Or he could roll his fenders so he doesn't have to stretch his tires to avoid contact.

The point is that he should have bought smaller, more correct-sized wheels.

The correct sized wheel does not need stretched tires to fit?

Or at least figured out how to roll a fender ahead of time.

Duh?
Unless your idea of "correct sized wheels" are the kinds the require stretched tires.

Umm. That's what this whole thread is about.
Did you not read the original post?

Exactly. Which is why his wheels, that WOULD require a stretch to fit, don't.

And "ahead of time" is not really after you have placed the order...

The correct way to roll a fender is to install massive brakes in the front and leave the rears stock, then to travel 100MPH and stand on the brakes while turning hard to the right.

A week is enough time.

What's wrong with wanting wider tires?

If people want to roll their fenders to fit wider tires, good for them.

This thread sucks. Ditto was the only one REALLY trying to be helpful in here. So OP knew he needed a roll, and is doing so before his wheels arrive. Nice.

I'm gonna have to roll my fenders for the wheels I want. It doesn't change how the car looks at all. When was the last time you saw your inner fender lip and actually cared?

That's what I did before I put on some 350z wheels.

The cranky men here act like the G35 is some piece of art and shouldn't get it's fenders rolled for wider tires.

i wouldn't say that. they're just the types that if they won't do it, no one should, and those that do are plagues on society. holier-than-thou, if you will.

That sure fits their attitude.

Kenrik, I'd make a post on the regional section and on your local forums and see if anyone is willing to let you borrow one.
