Welcome to NICO...

Just to help you a litle bit.. there really are no "decent" chips for our cars yet... to my knowledge.

There is a unit by Cobb being worked on and should be out within 6-8 weeks.. that will be the best bang for the buck as far as re-programming your ECU. Almost all of us are waiting for that one..lol

Welcome to Nicoclub Rue!

You might want to check the search feature at the top of the screen to see if this has been discussed before. Also, there's a regional forum for West Coasters like yourself, maybe someone around there will have some insight.

Again, welcome to Nicoclub and Enjoy!

Glad to help! Hope you are finding what you're looking for... GWhizz is right, there's been a lot of talk about a Cobb ECU tuner for the G, but they haven't ponied up the HP with a product for the general market yet. Do you have other mods that you've started yet? I personally wouldn't start with electronic tuning before I have the "bolt on balls" to compliment them (I.E- Intake/Exhaust/Pipes, Etc...)

What have you done so far? Keep us posted and be sure to post up some pics of your beauty! We love Pics!

Welcome to the club!Dave

Why haven't you joined our meet yet???

Rue, to be quite honest, even with an intake and exhaust, a tuned chip won't yield you much gains.

Do an ECU reset (can be found in the stickied FAQ in this forum) and teach your car how to drive.

I wouldn't get a tune unless new injectors, fuel pump, FI, were added.

Sorry, the meet question was aimed at aukword, but you are definately welcome as well.

Here's the ECU reset procedure

zerothread/299577

I did it in like 2 mins.

Not sure when the next meet will be. Seems like everyone waits for me to initiate it lol. Probably in the next couple of weeks. The last two have been at Newport Pier.
