There is an '84 Nissan Maxima with 92k miles and running good, for $600. If I were closer, I'd grab it in a split second, simply because it's a RWD, and the options for turning it into a fast car are endless!

wow a Gen 1... yeesh.. Ugly things but a lot of modding may not be a bad idea along with RWD.

That's not ugly... kinda homely. I'd snatch that up if I weren't 2500 miles away.

Wow. I really wish that was near me. I'm constantly on the lookout for unabused 1st gens (particularly '84s). Nearly bought one for $300 a year or so ago but it ended up being an abused POS.That one looks really clean.

I actually really like the looks of the first gens. They had great proportions, with a really long hood (look at the relationship with the windshield, fenders, and doors--so much more attractive than the modern crap we see these days with the windshield almost in front of the front tires). They're fun as hell to drive, especially the 5 speeds. Since they're basically a 4 door 280z, they're really tight and fun to throw around.

I think it'd be fun to have a diesel one as well.If I had tons of money I'd buy one and hide a 2JZ-GTE under the hood.
