Anyone in Cali take the front license plate off?

Yea. I don't have my front plate and so far I've gotten two tickets for it. One was a big ticket though, the cop got me for everything illegal on my car.

Tint, no front plate, and "no proof of insurance". The other ticket was soley the no front plate. That was no biggie though, went to the CHP station, they sign it off for free and just paid 10 bucks for the ticket at the courthouse.

No front plate is the only way to go.

I never put mine on, and have never gotten any attention from the Police. Then again, my car is completely stock and I'm 33 years old. Plus, I live in ?Oakland, so the cops there have more important things to do!

Haven't had one since January. Never gotten any flack for it. Just don't drive stupid behind a police officer, and they have no reason to look at the front of your car

I took mine off and havent had a problem yet. My cousin drives a civic (hahaha) and he hasnt had a front licence plate for over a year. He hasnt once got a ticket for it, but he has gotten four tickets for his tint.

I had a civic for 3 years, no front plates, and super dark tint and no tickets (for that stuff at least..I got pulled over once for speeding, but the cop didn't notice the tint or plates!). On my A/C..I have the same thing (dark tint/no front plate) and nothing from any cops yet.

I never installed mine on the AC or my SVT Focus before that; had the SVT for 5 years. I do hear that if you drive into LAX they will ticket you for it, something about security, I'm sure they have cameras up checking plate numbers. Doesn't make sense to me, motorcycles don't have them... It's just a fix-it-ticket anyway.

I took it off and of course the dealer drilled holes in the bumper, i bought some bumper plugs and it looks really nice.

im in maryland, only had front tag off since i installed the stillen fascia about a month ago. no problems(yet) but i talked to my father, who is a retired baltimore city cop and now a harford county sheriff, and he said that pretty much the only ones that will ticket you are state troopers. he hasnt had a front tag in 10+ years. basically the trick is, try not to attract attention..... ie: a lot of illegal mods and you should be ok. but thats just my experience. i do know people who have been ticketed.

Yeah, i wish i could take it off too... You guys in Cali dont have highway cops (i mean theres no real "fear" of them on the highway IMHO)

Got mines on...I don't feel like donating $10 every so often to the courthouse... I work close by the CHP headquarters in Sacramento, so I'll take the safe route and leave my plates on. My coworker, however, has gotta two tickets already for no plates...

Hey LBC i was stationed in San Diego for 4 yrs and the CHP cannot hide because CA is one liberal state and they have had a lot of entrapment suits. They can even turn their lights off.

I don't have a front license plate but I was planning on putting it on for a little bit. I took it off when I got my fascia.

I just need it on temporary because I just got my third speeding ticket and then a few days later got a ticket for having my tails too light
