No! Not anymore. I was banned! The site is very bias and inadequate. You've already experienced the inadequate part by not being able to contact anyone and the bias part will start once and if you are able to join. You are better off here at Nico

CakeDaddy- The Y34 platformed 4.5L had 340hp?? What changed for it to lower to 325hp? Most manufacturers would increase efficiency over progression, not decrease it..... Just doesn't make sense to me.

Yes... I agree. Infiniti went backwards after the Y34 platform when it comes to the horse power, but I think Infiniti pulled a few tricks and tweaked some things during the manufacturing of the 03 04 engines to accomplish that 340hp. Im not sure of the details, but Im sure someone will chime in to give you the skinny.

The 340 HP was based on non SAE test conformity [translation of JP test methods to SAE] when they were called out they restated the the lower corrected rating in subsequent years. Also a tweak to programming to better comply with emissions.

By the way a 90-93 4.5 liter with NICO ECU reprogram comes very close to 320 HP and 333 lb/ft of torque...................just more peaky and less flat across rpm than newer design.
