Originally I had some questions about RB dimensions but everything is figured out now. Here's some pics from my progress as I go along if anyone wants to see / comment (appreciated!).

piston, crank and con rods pics are below.

Refer to the end of the service manual for most of the component dimensions.

There is zero clearance between the rings and cylinder wall. They touch. There are tolerances listed in the FSM for piston diameter and bore etc.

I can't really contribute anything that has not already been given, but I am interested in what graphics program you are writing this in, and would like to see the finished product! (Maya, 3DSMax, Pro-E ?)

I used pro-e in the summer everyday and loved it but the program for the class is Solid Edge. I will definitely post my progress and should be completed in December. Ha it will motivate me to do better if I have to show it up on here too

Anyone worked with Solid Works? I love that program for part modeling. Good luck on your project, and I would definitely take a look at an FSM for a GT-R - all readily available online for free! Good luck once again!

Cool deal man! Looks good!

Now all you need are the con-rods, crank, block, head, valvetrain, etc.. but you have 2 months

Excellent Progress jt15833! Looks very promising!!

How far along are you with the block? I doubt you are going to be working on the head / valvetrain But your work looks very promising!

Are you going to be putting together a video of the components working together in unison?

I know you only have a few weeks left.. This is really awesome man! I assume that you have been learning quite a bit from SolidWorks too!

The other two people I'm working with are taking care of the head, although I need to help them cause I'm the reason we're doing this

it will be animated in the end, the most difficult part yet has been trying to get everything (crank/cams mainly) correct so the timing/strokes can be correct.

I'll keep it updated!
