So I was about to buy my redtop through venus auto but they sold out and wouldnt have any more for about two weeks. So someone recomended checking out RCrew Racing out of San Francisco. So I called them up and sure enough they have a redtop clip for $2200 and they said theyd deliver it to the shop thats doing the swap for another $100. So has anyone ever done business with them? This is sounding almost too good...

If you wanna check them out its rcrewracing.com

I went ahead and ordered my motor from them today. Super cool guys. The clip was from a 180sx and had ~53000 miles on it. It was very clean and everything including the smic were in very good condition. Its getting delivered today and hopefully the work will start soon enough. If everything goes good I'll let you guys know.

HAHA yeah that was me! And yes it is a pain in the a$$ to find. I walked around for 10 minutes looking for it... Anyway they actually called me asking if they can have my cluster, I was gonna give it to them because they said theyd give me a new one in a few weeks, but they then said nevermind... So yeah :) But yeah they were very cool cars. That hatch they had in the shot was pimp. Looked like a b18c5 with individual throttle bodies and everything.

I dont think they have that clip anymore. When I picked mine up all they had was a blacktop clip that was 2500.

About the cluster. Im getting my swap done this week so i kinda need it too. They did tell me they were gonna get another one in within the next few weeks. Oh yeah and its going into an s13 coupe.

Things worked out good so far. The engine isnt in yet, but it will be soon. The clip was very clean and the engine had ~55k miles on it. Came with an Apex'i intake and a short shifter. The only problem i had so far was a cracked smic, which i replaced for $50. But the guys were very cool and said if I had any problems including after the install and everything to come to him first. I'll let you kno more after the swap is finished.

RCREW RACING aka best shop in the bay area/norcal, best used performance parts shop to buy from. Very very down to earth cool guys that are all about road racing and helping people out. I'm located in the bay area and I recently (about three months ago) had my redtop sr20det swap done at this garage in san francisco, took less than 1 week and all for 3.2k including labor+parts. So I say if your going to buy your motor soon and your in cal. you should go with these guys, they have the best customer service and their not about going commercial/making a buck, also they have bbq once in a while, my aim is tony17r message me if you have any questions. Yes I know it seems like I'm really trying to promote these guys but I am because I was satisfied with the service/parts I paid for.

Hey, i have a few questions if someone could answer them. I was just on the phone with Dan at Rcrew Racing, really great to talk to; very friendly. He was telling me that since i have a 97 240sx i should concider if i just want to put the s13 in my car or if i should go with the s14. One of his reasons is because the s13 is much older, and i'd be putting it into a much newer car, and the wiring is going to be different due to it being older. If i were to get a blacktop s13 then it wont be that much older. Someone please respond with some opinion on what i should go with. And if anyone has a 97-98 with the s13 in it, let me know how it came out. thanx alot
