Do you have any specific information about it? If my swap is done in time, I'm all for checking out a drifting event. Especially if it's here in Southern California. I know a bunch of guys who would be all sorts of into going to an event like that, both to participate and watch.

i believe this D1 event will be in August somewhere here in southern california. it was announced at the option video shoot thing that was a few weeks ago here in socal also. the cool thing is that anyone who bought a ticket to go to the option video shoot will get a free ticket to the upcoming D1 event.(thats me!) oh and also in march there is going to be a drift cmpetition here again which will have some great drivers...nomuken and koguchi along with others will be there. it looks like drifting is getting very exciting now here in the U.S. hopefully i will have a digital camera by then so i can take some pictures.

ummm i dont know of any more information as of now but Mainstream Productions has a lot to do with these events so i would try and check with them. i think their site is something like showoffcafe.com or something like that. i do know that on March 2 they are having something called Drift Showoff which will be a drift demo and clinic and also i guess it will be like some kind of JDM vs. DTM car show. if i find any more info i will post it up here.

Drifting is alot more popular then it is here in the United States. There are drift clinics held every year at Buttonwillow, Irwindale, etc. by Club4ag and also this year Alex of Battle Version has stated his drift clinic.

Also drifting will never ever be legal.

The whole new participant thing is new to me. The last I heard was that it was purely demonstration to see if it was worth continuing with D1 in the states. If I was them I sure wouldn't let some Joe Jackasses and maybe 2 handfuls of good people be on the same track as Pros. There was actually a post @ Club4ag with alot of people saying this will ruin drifting.

they are custom made, it didn't really work b/c they light I used was not bright enough.
