Anyone having issues with their M35h?

My 2012 seems like it is indecisive switching between electric and gas engine engagement, at least from a dead stop or change from reverse to drive. Has anyone else noticed this? It now has 35k miles on it and the sloppiness was not there since new. There are apparently no recalls but is this tunable or correctable by the dealer? Is there some kind of firmware update?
I ask these questions because these kind of subtle issues are often not obvious when you need them to be demonstrated to a dealer tech. I am hoping this is something they can scope on a diagnostic machine and adjust but I am new to hybrids and my dealer probably hasn't sold more than a few.
Any experiences to share?
