yeah, usaa is an awesom company. since they are non profit they offer some serious benefits. get this.
for me and my 240, normal coverage and not claiming my dependent on insurance (i'm married but USAA hadn't worked out the bugs yet) i was paying a good chunk of money. i was 22 at the time.
when my wife got added to my insurance as a partial driver (she's now 27) and i picked up my 89 corolla, it was cheaper for both cars to be insured with both of us as drivers than it was just for me and my 240....a big differance i might add.
they have lots of things they have to do to keep money down. since they are non profit they are only allowed to "get" so much money a year. guess what happens if they don't spend the money on claims for that year? they have to get rid of it which means it goes back to the customer. mine has been going into an account that keeps my insurance rates down, the longer you go paying insurance and not getting in an accident, the better your discounts become.
USAA is my bank, car insurance, financial supporter! great group of people that work for them too. always helping me out on the phone to get me a better deal on stuff. i can't reccomend them enough for military guys. i've been a member since 97. i don't plan on changing any time soon!!
