anyone have problems with 370's in their KA?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

i had to pull mine out the other day, as the number one injector was stuck open somehow. ive heard a few people mention that the SR 370cc's just dont mix well with the KA's. is this true, or purely rumor? just wanted a more experienced opinion, rather than some local punks story.

that's BS that SR injectors don't work well with ka's. All of nissan's low impedence injectors are driven by the ecu the same, and the way the ecu drives the injectors is the same. If they wanted to, nissan could have put the 370's on the ka's from the factory and it wouldn't make a nickel's worth of difference.

thats true. well, nonetheless i guess i got a bad one. and just that one injector has caused me to rebuild my entire KA once and possibly again if the rings are seized. nothing like having to rebuild the same motor twice in a two month period....

How did it make you rebuild?Seen them to get flow tested or just buy some 440 or something.IMO

You can't just stick the 370 into your KA motor as the stock ones are 270cc. You'll need a piggyback like the SAFC or the Emanage.

If you're NA, you won't be needing the 370ccs.

^^^^^^^^

I believe the original poster was talking about the injectors working with the engine, not the flow rates.

I beg to differ. I had to switch to 370's a couple weeks back.

Yeah, if you go to ITBs or a shorter manifold, you will probably need 370's if you're otherwise modded, as you'll be making more power than a stock SR20DET.

USDM240 has an SAFC, he used it & the injectors when he had the turbo on his motor...when he went back to NA, he still had a power gain.

well, yeah, you'll have a power gain from the SAFC. Just putting on different injectors won't gain any power though, and if you don't have some way to change your ECU or tune out the difference you'll just lose power.

my friend bought some S15 injectors for his blacktop and when he got them and installed them, one of em worked at first but then it was kind of intermittent... he took them out and just let them sit in some gasoline with injector cleaner and he put them back in and everything was fine! try it.
