My strut mounts are bad and making clunking noises. I could go back with factory stuff, but, for a little bit more I could get aftermarket pillowball mounts. My question is how much ride quality would I lose?? This is an S14, daily driver with H&R springs and Tokico blues. Anyone have any input??

Cool, what kind did you buy?? If you think that your coil overs with the pillowball mounts still rides good, then I may just go ahead and get them.

I have Cusco Mounts up front. I haven't noticed any significant difference from the pillowball. But the camber adjustments made a world of difference.

ok, I've been told that the Tanabe pillow ball mounts only work with their coil overs. Which ones will work with the strut set-up??

I have Cusco ones as well. The one thing i did notice is after install I can hear every sound the tyres make with the ground. The tyre rumble continues up to around 40mph then the wind noise takes over. I really needed the camber correction so I have no choice but to use em.

Yes cusco CUS-220410S will fit to the origonal or OEM Style stuts. I currently have Koni cartidge replacements, but they are identical fitment to stock. The plates part number must have an "S" at the end the "A" parts do not fit.

I got Tein mounts from MVP motorsports (sponsor!)I noticed a pretty big difference in handleing over stock. Mainly when i'm in a sharp corner and need to make changes in my steering, the car responds a lot faster and more precise. Road noise is increased a little, but do your reasearch on tires that don't make a lot of noise, and it shouldnt be that much of a problem. My kumhos are pretty quiet with them :)

side note, i have hks springs on agx struts.... the springs are only supposed lower the car 1.6" up front, but at that, the mounts were almost at their full range of camber adjustment. how do people with coilovers that are lowerd like 2" or more keep their camber in check? Or do they just have to live with a lot of neg camber all the time?
