2nd time in maybe 2 or 3 months where i turn on the battery to listen to the radio while the engine is off and then when i go to start it it wont.

it flickers and makes this rapid clicking noise, when AAA comes to do a jump start its ok and works fine.

there HAS to be some sort of short or something going on with the electrical

let me know if you've encoutered this

BTW mines a 2008 model

you keep on draining the battery... if you want to do that, get a yellowtop.

Our cars are VERY sensitive to voltage... there re voltage sensors spidered intoa numberof things... so thing really go funky when the voltage is off... one time, when my battery was drained, my engine ws at 8,000 rpm just trying to go 55 mph... it was scary as $hit because i thought my engine was gonna blow up on me... after fully recharging my battery, and throwing an isolator on the rear batteries, things finally cleared up... but when the battery is low, things really go funky with the car...(i.e. the no-lock out feature no longer works, and you CAN lock your key fob in the car, etc)

It my be a good idea, like folks have said, to splurge on a deep discharge battery... but I recommend Kinetik over yellow tops...

so its the battery huh?

can you send me a link to get one of these deep discharge batteries? how much are they?

Just to add to the orig. post-When I talk about listening to the radio or having the dome light on, its only for maybe 1 minute or 2, not for an hour. It seems like the battery should be able to handle that without shorting or draining that severely.

Its not a short... a short would pop the fuse in the fuse to that Accessory... its just the battery... you never know how long that battery was sitting on the shelf b4 they put it in your nissan... either way, it would be helpful to get a mini volt-meter to check your battery periodically if you keep having this issue....
