I'm lookin to get fog or driving lights for my S13.... driving at night in the rain sucks because I can't see ANYTHING and its dangerous. Any recommendations? And don't just say PIAA... askin for what model you guys have and pictures if any as well as driving impressions.... Ive read that driving lights shoot further down the road than fog lights, which only shine a short distance on the ground in front of you... which ones do I need for rain driving? I do alot of night driving as well so I guess I need to take that into consideration. Any help is appreciated.

i also drive @ night; y not just use your hi beams? (well, if there's no oncoming traffic)

i've seen some setups w/ both bulb systems in the same housing...dunno name brands

I wish it would rain again in my area, Last time it rained was last week and my car was&is still in the shop undergoing a heart transplant :(. I wanted to drift soo bad . Stupid drivers who used hi-beams, they blinded me and i couldnt see **** on the downhill and my temp. car's tires are bald!! I almost went over the curb until i saw the car infront of me stop. Man i bet we So.Ca drivers are the worst in all 48 states excluding Hawaii and Alaska, the freak states. We dont have bad weather except for rain, So its like bumper cars in the rain haha

Which fog lights do you have and would you recommend them or would you recommend another type...... I have seen the two bulb systems as well and am also doing research on them.

'el cheapo "rally" blue lens that when u turn 'em on, they shine amber... a good fog light, but bad aerodynamic housing...when it comes to changing the bulbs.

it's your choice, i have those sylvania Xtra-vision headlights for my pop-ups & the light pattern spreads out more than regular sealed beams, so I don't have to rely on my fog/driving light system anymo'... i use them mainly as Daytime running lights nowdays.

just a tip... the 1st thing u do after u buy the set is to look @ how to change your bulb on the housing. use some antiseize on the bolts that hold the access cover... if you don't like how it's set up, then return it the next day.

i don't have the newer bumpers so i can't help u thurr...

geez, n screw PIAA, eventhough they're higher in performance. I don't want a thug to stroll by & pry em off my bumper, heck some idiot was trying to steal the ones i have recently but i bolted those suckers into the metal plate & not just to the plastic :P

I don't want those HID conversions too, since i've seen too many vehicles w/ stolen housings driving around north NJ/NYC... unless u have full coverage; then i'll consider it.

how do you like the Sylvania Xtravisions? I just ordered the Sylvania Silverstar sealed beams like a few minutes ago... I'm thinking of selling the h4 conversion I got and go back to sealed beam.

The silverstars cost more than the xtravisions so I figured they were brighter hehe.

ya, silverstars are betta, but i bought my Xtavisions waay back in 1999, when i had my 20% discount & mail-in rebate.

do the "change 1 side & compare" test... some people notice the difference, while others don't & return them the next day. I noticed that the xtravisions were just as brite, but the beam pattern was better off to the sides as well as concentrated on the front.

i've heard on some other message board that they don't last as long, but some whine to the company & got replacements.

see this & (off-topic) browse around for some free "throne-reading" mags. I've got free razor, maxim, stuff, electronic gaming monthly, Xbox nation, latina, etc...

So are those vents actually functional at all? I was thinking of getting a set of small fog lights and mounting them in the corners of the radiator scoop.

Well, they can't be toooo functional. CDM light take up that space, and there doesn't seem to be a catastrophie

Ouch you got burned although yours are probably better quality.I bought my kit for $20 at the store and needed extra wire to rig my toggle switch. If yall want fog lights all you need is 30minutes of your time and $20plus tax and bout 10ft of extra speaker wire.Think 16ga is big enough.I should be getting my mom's vert monday so When I install I'll take pics if yall want.
