From day 1 on my 2016 Nissan rogue i've had issues. It's been into the shop 6 times since I purchased it 3 months ago. 4 times for rattling from sunroof and 2 times for poor/no fm reception. I paid a lot of money for this new car and I haven't even had a moment to enjoy it.

Anyone have any experience with nissan arbitration or lemon law, any advice? I'm in MN btw.

Well there's a ton of info that comes up when you use the SEARCH function.

As for the lemon law, it actually varies from state to state, but there are basic guidelines. Minnesota's Lemon Law.
So, the question is, do you have a lemon car?

Let's look at what DOESN'T qualify as a lemon. Now, if the paint is just peeling, or if the light switch came out when you pulled on it, or if the car is starting to make strange noises, but it's safe to drive it doesn't qualify as a lemon.

If you found a bunch of stuff you don't like about your new car but none of them actually makes the car undrivable or dangerous, you don't have a lemon.
In summation a rattling sunroof and poor radio reception hardly make the car undrivable or dangerous, therefore lemon laws do not apply to your case.

Rogue One hit it on the head. Those issues do not qualify for Lemon Law coverage. I would suggest trying another dealer if possible or bump your concerns up to Nissan Consumer Affairs.

Just to update everyone, I ended hiring a lawyer and moved forward the lemon law suit. After long negotiations, Nissan ended up settling with me out of court for a satisfactory amount.

No arbitration involved, just my lawyer talking with their lawyers.

Did you end up with any cash after you paid the lawyer? Did you get a replacement vehicle or are you still driving the same one?
