I was wanting to know what some custom 17 inch rims looked like on the coupe, because As much as i want to get 19 inch rims, I dont want to have to also pay for new tires and the ride will me a lot less smooth, so was gonna see if I can manage with 17 inch.

Thanks

If you have the $$ you can have any wheel you want lol. but seriously, 90% of custom or performance wheels are 19" or bigger.

Well there are TONS of 17" wheels for the altima coupe on tire rack or wheelfire, but I didnt want to spend the money, and also, I dont want a really bumpy ride with thinner tires and its harder on the wheels last less. But so yeah was just tryin to find a pic of an AC with 17"s

hey, i didnt say go with 19's. what i interpreted was the "custom wheels" part you said. meaning having specially made wheels for you, so dont get mad. I personally wouldnt get anything over 17", I have my reasons :P! 17's wont look much different from 18's im sure you can find plenty pics here of them. find what you like and get them in 17's.

Oh sorry, no I did not mean custom made for you, I just meant rims that did not come factory standard on your car, like ones you bought 3rd party, sorry for confusion. The thing i like about 19" is the low thin tires, which 17"s wont be as much

no, it wont be like them, going from 16" to 17" reduces tire sidewall hight by like 5mm, not much. If your looking to lower it a little more maybe think about 18's, wont sacrifice too much on ride quality and will look a bit better. There are quite a few 18" wheels for sale in the marketplace section. a lot of people get infinity rims as an upgrade, they look much nicer and you probably can get a good price. if your budgeted and dont find anything here check out craigslist, every now and then some really nice wheels come up on there at good prices. good luck

I don't think many people put aftermarket 17's on their altima coupes. Many go with 18's / 19's

I'd say forget the CF trunk for now and get a nice set of wheels. 18's or bigger. Yeah the extra expense sucks, but I'd rather be happy with my car than feel like I settled for something I didn't really want.

i agree with the other guys, get 18s or 19s. you should pic up some eibach springs too. it'll look more put together than with stock springs.

If I get anything BUT 17" Inch rims, then I will automatically get 19". No point in only going up 1 inch if you can go up 2 inches for the same price. Either way I would have to be buying new tires for 18 or 19, so might as well get 19". Well thanks everyone, cause Im definitely gonna get 19"s now after thinking about being unsatisfied with some lame 17's.

As far as the eibach springs, its $216 on tire rack, but thats Another expense, and + the cost of labor to have some one install them, ehh...to much. Im sure there better, but I'd rather not do to much customizing plus $$$. Pimpin on a budget

Modding on a budget is what I have been doing ever since I got my car, but I won't settle on something just because it may be out of the price range at the time. I don't think there is any way this forum will let you get aftermarket wheels without a drop btw :nono:

^agree with Rob.Vegan. A drop will make ANY car with 17/18/19 rims look good.. even a drop on stock wheels looks fabulous

I'm curious to see what aftermarket 17s look like with a drop from Eibach/TEIN... I was thinking I'd have to get 20s to get the look I want, but those are 17s and they don't look too small like I thought they would.

Anyone have pics of an A/C dropped on 18s?

I'm lowered and still on stock rims. I'm planning to buy some 18" Motegis if I run into a need to put on summer tires. When I buy wheels, I think I'm going to go with these (Motegi SP10s: $149/wheel, 19 lbs each):

But you might not be a fan of the style, so these are $30 and .8lbs more, the Motegi MR121:

If you want good wheels cheap, get used ones that are in good cond., tons of people buy rims, decide they dont want them, and try to get rid of them. usually for cheap. for springs, u can get them used as well, couple people here are selling them cuz they moved to coils, wether u want to though is up to you. also, you can do it yourself if you have a friend that knows how to work on cars, it's all about networking lol. you can do some cool stuff on a budget, you just have to wait for the right time. I too am on a budget, almost all of my money is spent on being with my girl lol. but she's worth it. she's the only thing I love more then my car.
