So today is my "fall maintenance" day for my Q.. Ive got a few minor projects I wanted to tackle like a slightly leaking sunroof, some clips on the headliner, a bose speaker/amp, etc..

Anyway, come to find out that the rear drip rail on my sunroof is missing, hence why my sunroof leaked (and why it leaked in my old Q, too). The sunroof mechanism itself works fine, its just missing that rear drip rail..

Does anyone have an extra sunroof that they could pull this part off for me?

Wes,

How much trouble is it to get to this part? Do you have a pic?

The reason I ask, is that my local pull-a-part has two recent Q additions to the lot. If it's not too hard gettting to it I can pull one and ship it to you.

when i get back home, im actually going to post up an "ultimate sunroof maintenance" guide... Basically, the metal sunroof panel comes off in about 3 mins and allows you to much easier clean and lubricate the sunroof rails, and also how to adjust it if your sunroof is scratching.

Basically, i think it would take about 10 mins to get the part off.

Are you looking for the part labeled "Drain Rail" on the diagram on BF-32 of the FSM? Any idea if it's removable? It almost looks like it's part of the track assembly.
