I am trying to kill 2 birds with one stone, I need to replace my Y-Pipe due to the low RPM rattling upon accelerating. Dealer wants over a 1k to replace :bs: I am now looking into an AM performance Y-pipe. any recommendations? I know the G35, 350Z, Megan all will fit. Looking for the best options with straight bolt on easy install.

looking to achieve HP gains and also increase the sound of the stock exhaust. Does anyone here run a simple set up like this? I am still debating on a cat back system but it will be tough since I do take clients to lunch and wouldn't want the car to loud while discussing business. Any input is appreciated.

Do you have a X model? If you do, just make sure you get the Y-pipe for AWD. Otherwise, all aftermarket will fit. You will not notice an increase in exhaust sound just with a Y-pipe...

Where are you located??

Hey Zerg,

Im located in Queens, NY. My car is RWD, I assume most of them are made for the RWD base model. I been told it might increase the sound of my stock exhaust by a little, not sure if this is true? As for performance, you think i will notice HP gains? Thanks!

All the people that claim they feel a difference in HP with a Y-pipe are straight insane or they have a 5th sense of feeling small changes in power. There are no exhaust note to begin with so no you will not notice an increase in ta one. If you had a G35, 350z, Fx35 that actually has a tone, you will notice an increase in sound.

what if you combine Ypipe with aftermarket bigger catback? My exhaust is loud enough, i dont really want any louder than what it is, but i do want it to be faster.
What makes bigger difference? im choosing between HFCs and Ypipe my budget is tight so only one of those can be added for now. Also mine is awd and im not sure which Ypipe works on it 100%
