90 Z32 Base 2-Seater

I'm looking to get some new wheels and tires, nothing crazy, 17s, 18s if possible with keeping the suspension as is.

I don't need super fat tires, 245s would look a little nicer in the rear, but 235 is fine.

I checked out fitment industries but didn't have much luck as specs were left out of most descriptions.

I'm not looking for performance, I like how my Z rides now (stock).

Anyone have any wheels with stock suspension? Please post specs, pics or links!

Thanks

I deleted your other thread as requested. Also this has been cover ad nauseum. Please try the search function in the top right of the screen. Also check out rimtuck.com

I've checked out both fitment industries and rimtuck, and searched at least 30 threads.

Doesn't appear anyone has a stock suspension on their car with aftermarket wheels, unless you want 350/370 wheels, which I do not.

It doesnt really matter if you're on stock suspension or not. The fitment of the wheels (offset and width) and tires (cross section width) doesnt change, you can use one of the many tire size conversion charts or calculators available online to go between wheel diameters to pick the proper matching tire diameter. The stock suspension has a longer travel but the wheel and tire can at any time live in the same place it would on a dropped car so if you're looking for the best functional fitment then what you find on rimtuck will serve your purpose. You dont go oversize with the tires for two reasons.
1. You will scrape the tires on the fenders/fenderwells when bottoming the suspension and when turning at full lock.
2. Your car will look like it belongs in 4WD Magazine.

Also did you look in the top stickie in the Z32 General section. LOTS of info there.

If you like your ride now; going with a larger rim size WILL affect the ride due to the lower profile tire to match OEM circumference.
Stick with offsets in the low +30 and widths of 7.5-8.5 will be ideal. I had 18x8 with 235/40/18 tire and noticed a big difference over OEM wheels.
Another thing to think about is the weight of the wheels too mine were about 10lbs heavier/wheel and felt a big difference.

Using the following calculators I found on here -

https://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

https://www.nicoclub.com/archives/wheel ... 300zx.html

I ended up going with 18x8 245/35R18's +35mm offset. I know the ride will be harsher hitting bumps but I'm super stoked! These will sit .2" lower than stock, and I didn't realize how tucked in the factory wheels are, so based on my half a** measurements these should sit flush to the body.

Love them! The drive is great and the wheel gap hasn’t changed.

Avid6 AV1, super cheap too 650$ with tires 1300.

Went through fitment industries. Awesome will use them again.

All the calculators on the forum came in super handy exactly as expected

I’m extra stoked cause I didn’t drop another g on the suspension.
