I seriously doubt this but does anyone here have a sohc ac compressor on their dohc motor? I'd really like to know how someone did this if anyone has. Also if anyone has a sohc compressor on their SR, I'm still interested. Lemme know.

All it takes is a new bracket...

We did one on a '90 car that recieved a '95 motor with '92 DOHC wiring harness.

You have to make it...

Use 1/8" flat steel, bend as needed.

I think a bolt hole or 2 lines up, no?

I really can't remember, it's been +1.5 years since we did it, and it's since been replced by the proper bracket and compressor for a DOHC.

You'll have to figure it out...I really can't recall the specifics.

Been too long, and I've done WAY too much KA engine work to remember exactly what we did on that one...sorry.

Good luck - Brian

The car I'm getting the engine from's AC isnt currently working, but sometime soon I'm going to bring it somewhere for a leak test, if it passes and it just needed a recharge I'm using that one. If not I will need one though.

All you need is the dohc ac compressor and the dohc ac lines.

Won't the lines have to be fabricated though? Nismo1182 could you get on AOL instant messanger, it's easier to talk there.

Awesome, good to hear you can fabricate a sohc compressor to the 95. I am getting the SAME swap done right now and was just gonna say f- it, I'll just not have a/c for a while. But now I don't have to dread Florida heat so much. : )
