Picked up my first 240sx, 92 auto. She runs but has the timing chain rattle and would rather tow her 30 miles and not drive her. So my question is does anyone have a reputable tow service that they would recommened to me? I'm from the west suburbs of Chicago, Brookfield, and the 240sx is in Montgomery. Thanks!

Have you ever seen that show about O'hare Towing?

Well they seem legit, and they work in Chicago.

If you cant find a good one for a decent price.

Here is what you do, (worked for me) I used it for m car and for my front clip/half cut.

Go to Uhal an rent one of their trailers (thinks its like $20) Get ether one axle(car dolly), or full trailer (its dual axle, meaning has 4 wheels).

With one axle trailer you'll have to drop the driveshaft(because it only holds on axle of the car). Unless you put the back axle on the trailer then you dont.

But for that to work, this usually helps to have friends. And someone with a pick-up truck with class3 hitch. Unless you want to spend another think $20 and rent a pick-up truck from like Uhaul, Home Depot, or go to Penske and rent truck and trailer, or Budget think has same equipment too.

This will cost you propably around $60 bucks in all expeses and fuel.

Sorry my spell check is not ON, hopefully this helps.

or the easiest way would be to call AAA (if you have it) and tell them your car broke down and you need a tow...i've done this many a time...

oh p.s. stop being a cheapo...you bought the car, now either drive it back with the dreaded timing chain rattle( my old s13 had that rattle for 5 years and it was still going) or pay for a tow and get it home.

good luck.

O'hare towing is f***ing expensive, so i would advise you not to go through them.

you might want to rent a trailer from U-haul like previously stated, or get on chitownracing.com there are a few members on there who have tow trucks and or trucks and trailers that wil tow for some side cash.

Thanks for the idea, never would have thought of that. Not trying to be cheap, just don't need to pay extra to try and get on tv.
