i was under there the other day and realized mine had started to leak. i know this is a common problem on the 370zs but was curious to hear from some of the guys with higher mileage Ms.

what negative effects could it have if i dont get it fixed? from what i understand you have to drop the diff and cut out the old, then press it out, then press in a new one. or replace the entire subframe.

I do not recall any of our M members doing this...so you may be the first. How many miles on your car?

Interesting. Never heard of it until this thread sent me to Google to learn about it. I'll have to get down there and see if my subframe bushing has been eating Olestra chips too.

ok so update: i asked the dealer here in houston about it. My service guy said dont worry about fixing it. There are no negative effects to leaving it alone, and the car wont drive any different either. thats a big relief.

To answer the other question, ive got 95k miles on my car.

I will put a huge shoutout to West houston infiniti for service. their oil changes are cheaper than you can get at Jiffy lube ($45 for full synthetic) and they have always been super straight with me on what my M and previous G needed. they even called over to the sewell dealer in the woodlands to find out what exactly was done on the 60k service with the previous owner so i wasnt paying for something i didnt need.

Wow, that's cheap for full synthetic. Didn't think a dealer would have the best deal in town, I'll take my car there next time.
Glad to hear a recommendation from them though, I've only visited them once to get the physical/mechanical keys made for my car. Cost me a reasonable $15 each.

and that comes with a car wash as well. you can also get a loaner if you have another service you need done in addition to the oil change.
