I know ive done it a million times; turn the radio on while filling up and i've never had a problem before.
This time i basically killed the battery, the lights flickered on and off and made this clicking sound that progressively got weaker and weaker as i attempted to turn off and turn on the car.
i called nissan roadside, they showed up in 20 mins and jumped the battery and it started fine. He asked me if i had the car on while pumping gas and i told him i did, he said it can cause the ignition to short.
im no expert that didnt make sense to me, either way something happened and the jump fixed it, ive been able to turn it off and on with no problems since.
you should NEVER leave the car running off the battery to listen to the radio at the gas station if ur just using the factory battery... when you do that, although you didn't notice it at the time... you were draining the battery little by little each time you do then... factory batteries were NOT designed to be drained like this, thus one day, out of the blue, you'll have the issue you just described.... this is why they designed deep cycle batteries, to do just that... I'm running three batteries in my car due to all of my audio/video stuff, and if i leave ALL of my monitors on, even i will have the same issue... so now I only leave 4 on at a time
