I need that thing that bolts on the top of the intake manifold and helps control air at idle or whatever. It's kinda barrel shaped and has a plug at the end. The one on the car I'm getting has a busted plug and the p/o just kinda had the wires hanging in the sockets of the plug on the wiring harness side. I'd like to replace it with one that's known to work and still has the plug.

If it's the one at the tip top that takes like a 19mm wrench to remove, most are cracked, but just because they're cracked, doesn't mean they don't function. It's the idle-up valve when the A/C compressor is engaged. If you don't have A/C, then don't worry about it. All mine are cracked, but they all work............

Oh, well thanks for the reply Dee. I don't think this car has a/c (dont have it in my driveway yet) but I might just replace it with one anyway that at least has most of a clip still on it.
