Well i had my first s13 for a good while and loved it, but sadly i got in an accident and it was totaled. I parted out most of what I could to get money for a new car since I thought i had insurance but didn't. Anyways I've been thinking about geting a s14 for a while, you know try something new, but I want to know if any of you guys have tried both cars and if you can tell me what you liked and didn't like about each car

i had a s13 shark nose... sold... got a honda , hated life and then now i have a s14. well personally i think inside s14s are nicer... they feel more chill and comfortable. But also i feel like its way bigger. i felt my s13 was way smaller. I felt safer messing around with my s13, it just felt small and easy. The s14 i like alot too but messing around i feel like its bigger and much wider... So i have to kinda watch my surroundings alot more. But really both good cars. If i could, i would have probly gotten a s13 hatch if it wer clean but my area their all raped and beaters. >.> Had to go with what i found... And also s13 are much easyer to find in a junkyard than a s14 is. so s14 can be a pain.

For DD, I'd go for S14.

I'd only touch the S13 if it's been stitch welded and filled with structural foam.

Going from an S13 to an S14, it does feel like its a lot wider, I think they are a little bit wider, buts its also got something to do with the design of the dash I think. As far as handling, the S14 is a lot more neutral, not nearly as much understeer as with an S13. The S14 seems to get sideways a lot easier, if thats what you're into. I remember when I was a little younger and a lot dumber, drifting on the streets and in parking lots and what not. I came from an S13 with an LSD to an S14 with an open diff and the 14 was just as comfortable being sideways, if not more so, than the 13. Food for thought

I hopefully will be doing this very soon...

I owned a '91 hatch back in '06, but it had serious frame rot and the engine kept blowing radiators... so i sold it for a '92 Jeep Cherokee... Then that got traded for a '99 BMW 528i... then that was traded for a '11 WRX, which is my new daily... but as i am no longer in high school and have graduated college and can actually afford a project car, I'm looking for a new-to-me 240sx.

After spending 3 days driving around NH-MA-VT and finding nothing but rust bucket S13's.. i guess S14 is the new option.

I currently have both S13 hatch and S14 Zenki. I prefer the S13. But maybe because it's more modded & 5spd while the S14 isn't. But I'd trade both for a Z32, Miata or SW20.

i have an S13. Im debating picking up clean S14 240 in the summer, or a S14 silvia, since i can get them for around the same price.

had a pignose hatch last, in between i got a 5.0 dunderbird, a chevy with 10" lift and then i got my current s14, got rid of everything else. so its all i got.
tell the truth, i would rather have a s13 coupe. s14's are nice, they look great all done up with a kit and slammed on wide wheels but i just like s13 better.
id trade my s14 for a good running s13 coupe anyday. :squint:

I've owned both. S14 is def more comfortable to dd (interior layout, space, seats), and imo it handles better as well.

People should always start out on an s13 to learn everything and move to s14. But I like my s13, mostly because it hasn't been trashed by PO's, well I take that back. But my interior is like almost perfect, unlike most s13's so that makes it a whole lot more bearable :chuckle:

Id like to own an s14 someday... but I may end up just keepin the s13 forever and teaching my kids how to work on cars with it and let them have it ;)

I love my s13's. I bought a 98 s14 kouki.. didnt like it. traded it for my RB coupe s13. I dont think I'll ever buy another s14. I would definitely buy another s13 though.
