I'm located in the East Bay too but I'm not much help either. I however did just get my Q45 out of the shop from this guy named Norman. He owns a shop in Oakland called "Foreign Auto Works". He's Nissan certified and not over priced. He may be able to work with you if you're in that much of a tight spot. If that doesn't work for you, then you might want to try posting in the Nissan Online Mechanic section of this site. You might get all the help you need for a DIY or might even meet a few people with an s14 around here because I know for a fact there's a lot out there.
