No they sent me a blown motor then after fighting with them they agreed to refund my money... now three weeks later still no refund and they will not return my calls.

i'm having the same problems with Takara. not to the extent of a motor like in your case, but parts. it's been almost 4 months and i still haven't recieved what i ordered. supposedly there's some kind of employee problems down there right now and blah blah blah, all i know is that i want my **** now, they've kept me (and i guess some other people) waiting for way too long now. ha, talk about letting a reputation go down the drain. oh well. good luck with your motor troubles man.

I'm growing weary of the game-playing as well.

Especially the email issue.

I'm hoping for a speedy resolution - The outcome can literally make or break the business.

So I'm guessing that since this thread has been started...no has received a response from Takara?

Not trying to force anyone's hand but, I would get it done in another manner because some of the things you guy's have bought are not cheap and I would be looking for my money returned to me ASAP!

Ahh... Takara motors... Well this is my story spanning back to March...

Well I heard through Scott at Zen motorsports about Takara Motors (in Atlanta where I am located). So I gave Sean a call and set up a deposit of 2k so he could order the skyline I wanted. The price was set at 11.2k delivered to the US. I understand customs and such can be a set back, but I wasn't terribly worried since I could wait. So basically I was smart enough to put down 2k on a credit card so I couldn't get screwed. Well 3 months later and a **** load of beating around the bush the chassis came in and then this is where everything went to hell. Apparently Sean about 1 month after me ordering a car through him, stopped working for Takara motors (probably the reason that I could barely get a hold of him) and started working wtih Lethal Injection tuning in Marietta. So I got a call from him after 3 months saying my chassis was in at Lethal Injection so I go take a gander at it. And its there and I'm excited until I hear that the price of the car went up due to some charges and blah blah blah. So the price was jacked to 25k or something ridiculous. Needless to say i was kind of upset because I was out 2k for 3 months with no car coming. So I did a chargback on Harry. I get an email saying that I need to work with him and stop the chargeback so he can use MY MONEY to go and buy the motors for the 4 skylines and sell them to somebody else. I said **** no, I'm not a bank. Why would I give you 30 days (his terms) to pay me back when I already have my money back due to the chargeback and I am not getting any cars. I heard Takara was a reputible company, but after this ****.... PM me if yall need me to do anything... I can probably get a hold of sean easily or at least stop by the shop etc. since I live in the ATL.

Well, I rec'd an email from Sean apologizing for all the dishonesty.

I also rec'd an email from Harry claiming to be the good guy.

Here's my take on it: 90% of "importers" are shady.

This is America, we're not as stupid as Japanese businessmen would like to believe, and personally, I'll be glad when all the SR's are gone and people realize they can't drive a Skyline in the US cheaply and legally.

We're not doing business with them any more, and neither should anyone here. Simple as that.

Kenrik got his refund finally.

Thread closed, since there's not much to add.

p.s. Thx for your info, GTGSXR.
