Well guys - I have run into a few problems with my SR (S14) swap into my kouki.

Its really too much to sit here and type out, but I can not explain how frustrating it has become. There are plugs that I am not sure where they go (I broke down and sent my harness to Wiring Specialties), fuel lines, vacuum lines, just this little stuff that I can not make sense of. I am not sure if it is because I have grown a hate for this project, therefore making me ignorant, or if it just something I am missing in the whole. So basically, all I am really asking is if there is anyone with any kind of intelligence about the motor, preferably into the kouki body, to help out. Within the MS area.

Thanks. . . O yeah.

I have booze.

Yuri will step you through it for a point -- it is one of the toughest swaps to do into our cars. the series 2 sr20det is a hard swap but worth it they make a lot more mid range power than the non vtc ones.

im not too far away but really man, you can do this without much help. if you have sent you harness off, then when it gets back, this will be a peice of cake.

You have 2 sources for fuel. It can only go two ways. search pictures of sr swaps and see which one is hooked where. Its not hard

second, i understand about the vacuum lines being sorta tricky, but you dont have an f*** tun that is impossible to figure out-brake booster(so easy to hook up)-fpr( it is easy as well, prolly 5 inches worth of hose between the TB and the fpr.

your bov, actuator, boost controller all of these are easy to. Vacuum source is the throttle body, search vacuum diagram or something and get the best way to hook it up.

Nothing is really hard.

You can do this man, hell 256-702-7618 is my number, you give me call if you need help figuring something out.

Have you touched base with Performance Motorsports in Pearl? Marshall, Josh, and Joseph may be able to assist. They've installed clutch and suspension for me but nothing electrical. However, they're pretty resourceful and may be able to assist.

Update- well i have got fuel going to motor and have power to the dash. But no turnover. Icam sure I don't have starter grounded correctly or power wire not tight- but ccould my lower harness be this problem? I did not send Yury the lower-only the upper.... Thanks for all the help- espicially slidestyle who gave me a basic walk through and allowed me to better understnad everything going on

UPDATE!!!!

So the car is turning over now! Thank god I was scared momentarily that the engine might have been locked up. Now I need to get it idling and also ask another question. Anyone know what recirculating valve I can use on the cold pipe? I figured a 300zx one would work but doubt any parts store would have that one in stock...

Also- anyone know where to start on finding out why it doesn't attempt to crank? Tomorrow I will be checking plugs to see what they are looking like and make sure I am making spark. All info will greatly help. Could car not want to idle because I have nothing but my hand blocking off recorculation valve input? Call me with any info because right now I have to use the phone to get on this website...6018329545. Thanks guys.... She's ALMOST there!

Is she getting fuel and are your coil packs in working order? Timing could be the problem if the above are okay and it still turns over.
