A lot of response on the snow tires. I am overwelmed. Thank you for all the opinions. Very helpful. Tomorrow I will be getting my Blizzaks WS 50 and I will report next snowfall.

You wouldn't regret the Blizzacks, it's fun driving in the snow with them, while everyone else without them is going nowhere fast.

Well I got my Blizzaks WS 50 and nuQ knows the kind of snow we got today. I was out in my place in the Poconos this weekend and had to drive back on I80 to get back home. They worked nice. Real nice! Much better than using my Pilots for the winter. I'm glad I made the purchase and I recommend anyone that has to drive in the snow to get them. It has turned my Q into a reasonable driving snow car. Who needs those SUVs?

Hey nuQ, how far are you from the Poconos? I've never heard of Nazareth, PA.

I'm really close to all spots in the Poconos. I'm about 20 minutes south of rt. 80 and rt. 33. It's right off of the Stockertown exit of rt. 33, right in the heart of the Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton area. As another point of reference, Nazareth is the home of Mario Andretti. Passed him Thanksgiving day, me in the Q, Mario in his grey Lamborghini!!! I know this will sound like B.S., but swear it's true. I hope Mario doesn't frequent this site, but I've been to his house, swam in his pool, and checked out his downstairs bar (my friend used to work for him, and he goes up to his lake in the Poconos on most weekends in the summer). She was allowed to be there, not sure if I was!!!!! Very cool bar he has downstairs, a Cosworth/Ford engine coffee table, a huge wine cellar wooden door with his fathers face carved in, and the Lamborghini and his wife's Mercedes was in the garage (oh yea, and his very mean pig "martini"!!!). Very cool to be checking out all the trophy's and pictures of, maybe, the greatest race car driver of all time!!!!! Anyway, other than that, not that much exciting in Nazareth PA, just a quiet, comfortable small town. But, like louiegz said, the weather was pretty nasty today in NJ/PA. Hope it clears by tommorow, I'll be driving to Woodbridge NJ!!!! Keep us all updated this winter on your Blizzaks and how they continue to perform on the Q!!!!!!! Jeff

My Rover is a 1965 3 liter mark 11c and is the prior model to the one your friend would have had. It competed with Jaguar, Humber and Vanden Plas in its day. It has a 7 bearing crankshaft straight 6 engine with overhead inlet valves and side exhaust valves with roller bearing cam followers. This is the same design layout as the old Rolls Royce Silver Cloud engines before they switched to the V8. It is two tone gray with Conolly red leather and red Wilton 100% wool carpets. It has lots of African Cherry Wood on the dash and doors.

It is RHD as I brought it over from Wales (UK) when I relocated to the States (Indiana first) in 1995. It has done 65,000 miles from new and I completed a 7 year restoration before bringing it out here.

It has massive over engineered front discs brakes and truck sized rear drums.

If you want to see what they look like cliCk on the following web site

They are very interesting machines built for serious motoring. No engineering corners cut.
