I am getting a spare set of rims for racing and winter. for both causes, the car will benefit from smaller/lighter rims. I haven't seen an 18" rims for the 6MT and have seen other posts saying they don't fit. that would surprise me but I am looking for confirmation. does anyone know about if they have enough clearance with the proper offset?

I called the dealer 4 times now and have got a "we will get back to you" each time. Tirerack only lists 19" rims, but I haven't called yet.

P.S. let me know if you are looking to sell OEM 18's or even possibly 19's in case I can't use the 18's.

I asked two dealers the same question and got different answers; the specific question was would the stock 18" wheels on the non- sport cars fit on the sport version. The last dealer said yes.

The only sure way to know is to go to your dealer and ask him to pull a 18" rim off the non sport and try it on a sport model. My Porsche dealer did it for me when I bought new Boxster and I was trying to decide if I wanted to keep an old set of 17" Boxster rims for track use. Worst case, it might cost a couple of $'s to find out but you would know for sure.

in case anyone was wondering, TIRERACK was able to help me out and show that there are a number of 18" wheels that fit on the G37 Sport. the only way to see the wheels is to select "winter" on the website. i puchased a wheel / tire package today for $1550 delivered.
