I already ordered all my parts for my suspension this week, it should all be coming by wednesday kyb struts, kyb shocks, 2" lowering coils all from 4x4parts

Never seen those before, but I am not surprised they exist.

It looks like it just compresses the coils, adjusting how much they compress by turning the nuts on either end.

This just doesn't seem like it would be good for your coil springs at all. Getting new coil springs is the right way to do it. I just don't think you'll get longevity from the coil spring compressors.

i was thinking more about the movement over bumps, but the metal thingies that go around the coil they slide on the bolt, so if it compresses more after going over a bump than it already is, the little flanges or whatever just slide up/down, and then back to the restrained position by the nuts. so it seems as if it would work good.

A cheap way to lower your car is to do it the redneck way.....Dog it through a field at 65mph and badabing...coils=worn out....this is also a good way to break-in a fresh AC lift from 4x4parts.com...

The real redneck way is to take a blow torch to some of the coils, heat it up enough to make springs red hot, the weight of the truck will cause the springs to distort, whala! cheap lowering kit.....wait...... spring rates? what are those?
