anyone ever hears of phantom grip?

my friend was telling me to get it for my car. he says it's like having a lsd but it only costs 300 bucks. doesn't sound too bad so i was wondering what you guys thought about it?

when i get a replacement open diff i will be trying it out...

it will never be as good as a kazza, cusco, ATS unit... but its better than the viscious LSD that comes stock in the cars.

you may have to grind the inside part of the axel gears down to make it fit... and you have to be very careful when installing it, everything must go back the way it came out... and all bolts must be torqued correctly.

make sure you know what your getting into!

I GET IT THATS A GREAT ONE... hah .. took awhile tho was thinkin wtf? random grip.. id rather have a VLSD also.. for the price of that crap i can find me a VLSD diff. heard the random grip was ok on FF vehicles.. but i wouldnt use it on a RR.. its like driving with your feet.. just cuz u can do it.. doesnt mean it should be done..

Umm... don't get the phantom grip. Its just a device to convert your existing diff to lsd. I haven't hear a good thing about it.

My friend has Phantom Grip in his GSR and that isnt the best thing unless ur goin all out drag cause takin turns in that thing is bad both wheels turn all the time and it hops like crazy

I alwasy hear that PG LSD's break alot, and aren't worth it. Just save up and get the Nismo or Kaaz.
