Hey, I was surfing the net the other day, looking at some 911's *drools* when I thought that maybe a 911, 930, or their turbo variants might fit in the old VW bug since it's rear engine as well, I'm sure I'm not the first one to think about this, but does anyone know if it's ever been done, I think it'd be fast as hell, because the old bug only weighed-what, maybe 1500 pounds or something......any thought let me know.

I used to think about doing that...my new idea is a Geo Metro swap 
Change out the engine to something a bit nastier...Mazda has a 1.8 liter V6 that'd be pretty nice, then there is a 1.6 liter suzuki swift engine that bolts right in and is supposed to be sturdy. And you could always just hack stuff up and make a fwd v6 fit into it 
My roommate and I might buy a Metro just to screw around with, you can get them in RUNNING condition for like 250, thats only 125 for each of us to have a car to screw around in

Turbo Impulse Motor drops into the Geo Storm as well, and has some nice mods to it.
