Very odd problem with the volume knob. Just watch the video and see for yourself. If it can't be solved, hopefully Nissan will fix this.

Its that bad huh? Its like the best radio I've had through out all my other cars, but only because the stereos on my car would make this radio look like a Bose. I honestly never felt any need to change out the radio or speakers because I'm satisfied with the sound and figure if I'm gonna be dumping money into the car its gonna be for visual/performance mods.

But I may as well ask what you guys have? If I replace the radio the only thing I'm getting is a built in touchscreen. IF I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it right.

I went with Alpine also w/speakers that have more than the OEM 25 watts crap. The difference you will notice right away, upgrade man.

I went out to check it again today. Its working fine now. What the f*ck was that all about?! Haven't even reached 10k miles and already radio problems. Well if push comes to shove and the radio clonks out on me, I'll just pick up an in dash touchscreen.

I didnt actually watch the video until now (was at work and expected some bump). I had something similar happen before I upgraded. It wouldnt get stuck though, it would go up but it would take a few extra spins to get it there. Eventually just went away. Has it been really hot by you recently, used to happen in the summer to me.

Hey mine did this about once a month or so and more often lately, I just finished installing a new pioneer appradio last night.

I haven't even changed the speakers yet and it already sounds so much better after a quick EQ.

If you buy on craigslist and know how to install everything yourself than you can save a lot of money. I just did navigation, bluetooth mic, back up camera, internet radio, ipod cable etc for less than 300 bucks!

Mine does that from time to time. Usually if I turn it very slowly it'll get unstuck from the repeating volume number. I use the steering wheel controls 99% of the time anyway so I hardly notice the knob getting stuck anyway.

Well if you don't wanna go too crazy at first, a double din unit with an ipod cable would be a great place to start! You could just buy the dash kit from nissan and a wiring harness and be done in a couple hours. It took me about four 3-4 hour sessions to get everything wired for this unit. The back up cam was the worst andddd I drilled a freaking hole through my trunk behind the finisher piece lol that wasn't a good feeling at all.

I'd say the hardest thing would be wiring in the metra axxess awsc unit to utilize your steering wheel controls, but even that wasn't hard.

I'm clueless when it comes to this.. that's why I haven't touched anything yet. I think I just need a good looking headunit for looks and stuff but I'm really satisfied with the sound for now..
