If you want an easy way, try spraying it with the Duplicolor fabric paint. It works quite well. But make sure you use a sealant over that because it rubs off quite easily.

I did actually dye mine black. Bought a box or two of RIT dye, Mixed it and used a garden variety type spray bottle to apply it. Sprayed it once ,let it dry for about 8 hours then hit it with another coat.I did have it hanging so the water wouldn't sit there soaking the panel. I didn't get any panel warpage. The spray paint type coloring seems to leave the fabric a little stiff . This way didn't...But it is pretty messy.....

SEM also make a great paint that dries fast but it cost about 10 bucks a can... I'm redoing the interior but i already bought 3-4 cans because i can't decide on the color. BTW, with SEM paint the color of the cap doesn't match the actual color, it's like 2 shades lighter.

I've used sem dye on several interior pieces including a headliner and it works great.

i got some stuff from auto magic. because my buddy is tthe outside sales manager and he hooked me up with a case. normally its about as much as SEM maybe a little cheaper. but when spraying some fabrics you gotta hit it with a bristle brush to soften it back up after it dries
