Soo much fun (even though it's really hard on your transmission).

Just came back from a drive, decided to practice a launch, on an empty street of course, with a stock KA :P. Revved it to 4500, dumped the clutch, lost traction, shifted to second, lost traction, and then rammed it into 3rd, chirpped them pretty bad. Sound friggin awesomee

BTW, this was done on a set of Michelin snow tires with around 60-70 pounds in the trunk.

Umm....its all based upon tire compound and tread wear rating and the temperature of the pavement.

Congrats though...I guess.

I always end up with a stinky clutch when I try to rev match.

Practice makes perfect. I don't ever drive any other way. My old integra used to grind into third, so I double-clutched/rev-matched/heel-toe'd for years on my first car. Same deal with my r6.

i'm sorry to say but rev matching on a bike is soooo freakin easy. my first time riding a bike was less then a year ago, once i heard my dad rev match on his CBR600F4 i started trying right after and got in less then a day. my mom tells me i'm a natural on a bike but i don't like bikes that much...

but on a car it took longer for me to hell toe, but i don't really hell toe more like fat footing. us one side of your foot for the brake then roll over to the throttle on the other side of your foot.

If I rev over 4 grand in 3rd I brake the rear loose, and I mean from cruising at 2.5-3. Damn open diff. Well I don't rev anything since I blew my HG lol.

in my s14 and my old hatch, i was lucky to get a chirp out of 2nd. my 92 coupe i can roll (spin tires non stop for those who are slow) in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, if i dont let off in 3rd i could prob keep spinning. i dont know whats up with it but it makes me not want to let her go, 100% serious.

Not nessesarily, if I'm cruising with my dunlops or azenis in 3rd gear with a kaaz 2 way I spin any tires I have on there, at any road temp.

De clutchzz owns me dos.

But I chirped third a few times over the past summer.

And I normally don't go through the gears too terribly hard. Smoother is faster in my opinion. I rev match every where I go - Not to look cool - but because at the time I wasn't wanting to put to much strain on my thrown together brakes

I am no good with heal-toe maneuvers. I can pull it off pretty well entering a turn, but through the turn if I need a lower gear, which I would think is rarely, I wouldn't do it for the life of me

I don't chirp 3rd, I spinz the b*tch!

I'm pushing about 17-18 psi though, so it's too easy to do so on street tires, as long as I'm in my boost range.

as mentioned, the tires make a difference. my brother can spin the tires easily but they don't readily want to make much noise. they're just some all season tires

When I was runnin my sr I simply couldn't power shift with the welded diff because it would just tear em loose at high speeds, but I will admit when I was running my n/a ka I was proud of the fact that with my centerforce dualfriction I was chirpin into 4th. But I'm bout to be KA-t in a month and I'm sure I prolly won't be able to speed shift that too.

Exspecially one that makes more Tq. then an SR.

I've spun through 4th at well over 100mph...

but thats what C16 + 27psi on a big single 2J'd supra would do.

generally you would heel toe during the entry of the turn. IF you need to downshift thro a turn you should be off the brake by then so u can just blip the gas to get it to rev. If not you could stay in heel toe till about the apex of said turn. its not that hard at least to me. JUst do it when your normally driving alot and you'll get loads better, but im with matt i always rev match and heel toe, i dont feel the need to shred my stock clutch.

what exactly causes the tires to "chirp"? i usually never drive my car hard because it's my daily and i don't want anything to break since i would have to take it to a shop and get raped in prices.

so i'm guessing you launch it, then just shift really fast?
