Like the title says, has anyone ever built one bofore? I built one yesterday that works off of compressed air. Its a little over 4ft long and has a barrel 2in round. Stuff a spud in it and pump it up to about 80-90psi and itll send one about 500ft. We also built a smaller one that has a 1in barrel and it about 3ft long. For a smaller gun itll shoot just about as far as the Spudzuka. With spuds or anything else they dont have much kick back, but use water and the Spudzuka kicks as bad as a pissed off mule. Ill post a pic of them later.

Spuds suck man, drop an apple in there and have fun.

I didn't build it, but I shot one with my friends this summer for a little while, that thing rocked.

There's was a bit different though, they used a few different kinds of propellants, from hair spray to propane to torch gas (whatever that's called) and lit it with a little spark from a button... that **** flew.

That's how to do it right there. Carb cleaner and a spark. We actually used a spark plug. It's amazing what PVC will stand up to.

Me and my friends built one similar to yours. We used a lantern flint screwed into the end and hairspray. One day we used it so much the barrel caught on fire. My friend didn't have any fruit left on any of the trees out side his house, and we used 10 lbs. of potatoes. BTW raquett balls go very very far.

Didn't build one, but the neighbor has. They are very cool! I keep trying to get him to build me one that can mount to my truck, which I would be able to shoot all of the stupid drivers that piss me off, but Hitman thinks I'll get arrested.

my friend used to have one, but then he got arrested for "terrorizing" a local newscaster, and needless to say, I haven't talked to him in a long time

My friends and I built 3 or four of them when we were in high school. The 2.5" PVC works good for the barrel and the 4" PVC works good for the back part where it compresses, and lantern flints worked best cause you can seal it easier, Ether worked better than hairspray. They would shot incredibly far if you put something wet on the barrel to seal it and use a broom stick or something to compress the gas by shoving the potato(or whatever) down to the point where its kinda hard to push We managed to put a hole in his fiberglass basketball goal backboard with a osage orange(they are very hard and green, unedible and grow wild).
