About 10 years ago, I had one on my old import truck - worked VERY well. Supposedly, it's more reliable than Fram's easy-drain fitting/hose kit.

Just finished ordering one to try on my Q - According to the Fumoto website, their F103 part number fits all Infiniti models.

had one on my 300zxturbo for years, was great as I could reach filter from top, slide drainpan underneath and open it up- no ramps or tools needed to do an oil/filter replacement! only drawback was it took longer to drain the oil! sometimes,I would go shopping, park, slide drainpan under car, open valve-go shopping-come back, replace now cool filter, refill and be on my way. With the Q,it makes less sense,as you need to raise car and get to filter from below.

Actually, I change my filter from above - remove two nuts, pull the air intake off to one side, and it's an easy reach with an oil filter socket - no raising the front of the vehicle required.

Reaching the drain bolt is a little bit of a stretch without a lift...but that's one of the main reasons for the drain valve - No ratcheting, no copper washers to lose or replace, and nothing to fall down into the drain pan.

Been using one for years and changing my oil from up top too. Be forewarned though... it's a slow drain.
