Is the pink advertisment banner at the bottom of your mobile device able to be closed? Every time I click the "X" it just takes me back to the main forum page. The banner is very annoying, besides being pink, every time I scroll or move the page it stays in it's prior location for a second or two while it reloads it back to the bottom. This is my first time seeing it

I browse NICO on multiple mobile devices, but I've never seen a pink advertisement at the bottom that needs to close.

What type of device are you using? What Browser?

Might want to do some browser cleanup. Cache/cookies etc.

I'm using Chrome on Android FWIW.

Well there's your problem.

Sorry, I'm kidding.

I am kinda curious if it also happens in Safari on your desktop, though, especially if you have them sync'ed.

I have a Microsoft laptop, and it's only this forum on safari that I see it. Very annoying. Just checked my email and other forums and nothing. :bigthumb: :gotme

Edit:
Ok I decided to select it, it maximizes to full screen and is for "Mobilicity" and tries to sell me a blackberry. Anyone else know anything??

Edit 2:
Just tried clearing out everything that was cashed in my phone, deleted all the data for everything but my hotmail sign in, all the cookies, checked and my ad blocker was still enabled and it's still there :wtf2:

I've never had an issue with iPhones in the past 4 or so years I've been using them, never seen banners before and it's only this site that does it. Figured some one might know something about it on here but guess not

Well, for starters, which provider do you have? The smaller ones sometimes slip that sh*t in there to make some money on the side. (boo hiss) Can't do anything about that...

Next, although most people say you don't need it, some kind of anti-spyware program is needed now with phones. I used to get all kinds of crap on my tablet and my phone until I downloaded Avast for Android.

Yea it's a pop-up advertisement bar and I've never seen it before in my life till a couple days ago. I thought maybe the owners did something for advertising was all but it seems to be my own iPhone. Still, it's odd that this is the only site I visit that has it pop up on me.

And with Rogers up here in canada
And when I click it it redirects me back to the main forum page for nico, I can't even see the advertisement up close

Rogers loves the spam. We had lots of problems with that and illicit port scanning when using their internet sticks on PCs as well when my old company had business in Toronto and in Calgary... We thought it has something to do with something they load onto the device.

Yea, I'm on all the time on my Nokia using Opera Mobil (and the stock browser too), and I've never seen anything like that.

It must have something to do with my provider. Just find it odd that its only this site I see it and only as of recent

Likely your provider. iPhone5 user here and no pink banner on Chrome or Safari browsers. My RAZR MAXX I had before this phone didn't have any banners either while running ICS or a Jellybean port.

Ok next question haha does anybody have to view it in a compressed style? As in its smooshed together to fit it all on the screen and can't be zoomed in or out? That has to be the most annoying out of the two!

Sometimes, the page rendering will mess up usually when a thread is pic heavy and things will get squished in the text on my iphone. I've never had any other issues between either my 3Gs or my 5.

Yea that's what mine sounds like. It gets all out of proportion on me, top of the page is full length and all the topics, replys, etc are only as wide as my screen. Royal pain.

On the plus side the pink advertisement banner is gone now... I think my phone doesnt like you guys haha

You might have to go into your browser settings and un-check "mobile view" from the site preferences.

Then you just gotta deal with a whole lot of pinch-zoom action. I wouldn't have it any other way, tho.

I have Lookout on my Evo for keeping spyware and other junk off my phone as well as tracking it if I get lost. Try the iPhone version:

I also run lookout on all my android devices, though recently I've been looking for an alternative. Lookout doesn't watch FILES, just APPS, and that's kinda pointless. I don't install apps I'm unsure of in the first place.
