she gets the "Best GF of the Year" award.

sounds mean but I personally don't like gold diggers, I like a girl a little more independent. When I had a gf I was constantly her taxi and hated it, so I started working on the car and claimed it wasn't running. When gas prices were high no way in hell was I going to get played into running her all over town for nothing. Broke up with her anyways, ...cheating baitch

Yeah kinda weird, I have spent money on girls, too much but never supported them. Thats almost Jerry Springerish in a way. Meh best of luck but is shes sucking you dry now its only gonna get worse, get rid of her and tag her best friend.

Not to sound too cynical, and I don't know how long you've been with her, but trust me on this one - if you've been together less than a year (as ADULTS - none of this high school sweetheart puppy love crap) and you're already playing Captain Save-a-ho, imagine how it will be in 3-5 years. She'll suck you dry - and not in a good way. Cut your losses immediately. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, checked the block. LET HER GO.

wow, i didn't realize how many people support their women. my wife works 2 jobs. buying gifts and stuff is one thing, but supporting them is another unelss you're in a COMMITED (read- married) relationship

Hell yeah (can i say hell on here?)! My girl bought me a z32 maf for Christmas and a T-shirt that says "Boost, my anti-drug" on it! Certainly makes up for all the money i spend on her!

you know, somehow I seem to be able to pay for my alcoholism, hookin up the 240 and the girl's TL, and still have money to save and spend on her.... I've always wondered where people's money go that I always see are broke....can someone tell me...cause damn, we hit up strip clubs like once a week too and there's still money in my account. And you need to get your girl interested in cars so she'll buy you things for your 240. Tell me, what else do you spend your money on if you're taking so long to save up for something that's $400 OP?

If you can do all that and still have money for your car then props to you. Some people dont have awesome jobs or have families that are can wipe their *** with money. Not saying that you are like that but its hard for people out there. yes $400 is hard to come by because people have bills which include college tuition.

I tried to get my GF interested but shes all bleh about cars. We're trying to sell her veedub and get her something else since she decided to hit a damn electrical pole and knocked it down. I looked for a 240 for her but she doesnt like em because of the unbalance and the fact that the rear end can kick out easy in the rain and snow.....bleh, i still push a 240 on her. Maybe she'll have a change of thought

Im not sure, but I think his point was that if you keep track of your money, and budget yourself appropriately then money is rarely an issue.

Me and My Girlfriend have agreed that when I reach a certain income level,, that she can stop working, and I will support us. But only for the purpose of getting married and having children.

For the moment, my girlfriend works full time, and frankly, makes a bit more than I do, and so she pays for a bit more. 2 years ago it was the other way around. My point is that it should be a "partnership". Both people need to be giving to make things work. (I'm not talkin about nookie either, although that is an important part)

i see your point. If i came out harsh i didnt mean to. Yea it was like that too for me. I've been with my gf almost 6 yrs since high school. I got fired like 3 months ago and she was making the money. I eventually got a full time job, also being a full time college student. Things happen tho, i got into an accident, had to rebuild the front end....not too bad. 2 weeks later she got into an accident and went to the hospital. I manage my money pretty well its just a matter of things that happen. There is a balance in the relationship as money goes, just that her bills have piled up, since she doesnt have insurance, and I'm trying to help her.
