Anyone else have their AC cut out when the blower is set the highest setting?

So my AC light goes out on the control and air gets warm when I turn the fan all the way up. Is there a common fix for this?

does it go out immediately when you turn it to 4? If so, and if like many other vehicles its a blower resistor that went bad.

If it goes out after having it on full blast for awhile there might be a restriction in the system.

I am assuming its in the heater control unit as I can wiggle the lever and get it to come on as off on the highest setting. My temperture slider is broken as well so I think I just need to replace the unit. I started looking at it and it appears that the dash must come out to do this so I will swap the dash at the same time.

Mine does the exact same thing. I can jiggle the slider and it works on 4.

mine goes off completely-a/c, fan, everything. tried jiggling but no worky. figured that the fan switch was bad in that position and i'd just live with it...

blower resistor.... located in the condensor thingy under the dash, passenger side.... dont quote me, just from memory.
