Last night in my dreams I was driving the G through the desert on a hot summer day and the car started to overheat... I pulled over immediately to let the engine cool down but the temp gauge kept going up and up and up and up... I felt totally helpless like the falling dream... it was a very nerve wracking dream... eventually the car overheated, shooting steam out of the hood... I woke up in a panic... I actually got out of bed and checked the car in the garage as I was in a dazed state about whether it was reality or not...

I've never dreampt about the G before, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this bad dream?

Zozo, you oughta get that checked out... I think dreaming is your brain's way of defragging at the end of the day. I've had a few sleep study's done and it gives you a real understanding of how important the REM cycle is... productive sleep = a happy life!

I currently sell mattresses and must agree that your sleep is very important. It rejuvenates you.

You need 3 things to live. Food, water, and sleep. You can die from lacking any of the 3. Also the first step of many torture techniques start with sleep deprivation.

Hehehe

I know I am a little screwed up. I do this since I was born probably. I can't even remember what was the last time I got more then 5 hours sleep for more then 2 days. Some days I feel tired and sleep 7-8 hours but then next day I'll go back to my cycle and sleep 4-5 hours.

Water..well.. I don't drink water at all. I drink tea and pop. I know I know. To be honest I don't eat healthy(during the week). Since I don't see my family usually from Monday till Thursday. Only see my son mornings when I take him to the school after 4-5 hours of sleep. I eat whatever I see. Sometimes I forget to eat. On the weekend my wifes pushing me to eat healthy things.

I don't know what to say. I don't get sick to offen. Maybe once every 3-4 years. I take sauna daily and after sauna I drink ginseng tea.

Teflon, So out of 3 I only have 1 on my list. So how long I will live? LOL I work 13-14 hours a day. Actually afternoon till early morning. 2:00pm till 3-4 am.

Whiteclay: I watched show the other day about a pizza delivery man who banged the two hot chicks that he was delivering pizza to... I also watched a show the other day about a bichy woman and a black man who think they are going to be president... just because its on TV doesn't make it fact... although you can dream during a nap does not constitute productive sleep. You should still get a full nights rest though... this varies from person to person so if it's working for Zozo, then Godspeed to him... Just offering advice from a person who has been sleep deprived before... Healthy sleep = happy life

I agree with you but you didnt get the point on what I said....I said that the dream lasts 5 minutes.... I didnt say that when you sleep for 20 min and have a dream then youll be fine...and the one with a pizza guy and 2 chicks.... make sure you pull out the p0rn oout of the dvd player before you wife ( girl, or mom) comes home

I quit dreaming when I quit smoking... Dunno, kinda weird. I am with zozo. I sleep about 5-6 hours each day, and about once a week, I get in about 8 hours. I also don't drink much water. I do drink 7-8 16oz cops of black tea each day. Rarely do I drink pop though.

Yeah, everyone calles me Beaner, so I switched it to that. However, Beancooker is the name I have on like 20 different forums, and I also didn't want anyone to be offended/think I'm a racist by having the name Beaner. Second, when you google Beancooker, there are pages of my stuff, but Beaner brings up a ton of BS.

Other wierd thing is. If I fall a sleep for 4-5 hours I wake up in the same position as I fall a sleep.

No worries whiteyclay... I got your point. I dream everynight, but that doesn't mean that I'm having good sleep... I'm just big on productive sleep cause you spend about half your life in sleep mode. Unfortunately, I sleep 10+ hours a night and sometimes wake up feeling tired... interesting subject as we all sleep differently... You may be right that someone can get a 20 minute nap and rejuvinate themselves... I've just never been able to "catch up" on sleep... Any pulmonologists online that can clarify????

Back to my dream: Anyone had the overheating dream? I liken it to the falling dream...

Funny you mention this. I have a bad Q dream every once in a while... this morning I was dreaming that I had installed new injectors without o-rings... nothing like hydrolocking your engine in a dream! I distinctly remember dreaming that I hit myself in the head with a wrench while changing my timing chain guides... then I woke up in the middle of a migraine headache - good times! Several others... wrecks and stuff. All helpless feeling dreams like you mentioned. I guess our cars are big enough parts of our lives that there's plenty of stuff in there that the brain has to flush out... You're not alone!

I had a "dream" the other night that it was raining outside but I had closed my sunroof when I got home. Turns out it actually rained but my sunroof was definitely open.

Yea, Ive had the overheating dream. But I was driving a 1970 bmw 2002 I used to have, and that dream came to life many times.I allways dream about my cars. The most common one is about one of my cars getting stolen.Luckily, none of those dreams has come true.About those sleep studies.I have been through 2 of them, and didnt sleep a wink either time.Hard to sleep with all those wires attached to me.Kind of like My own personal grounding gear 50 wire kit.

I had this dream once that I had a 14 second 4 door Hemi Ram that broke down ALL the time. Luckily I traded it on a 2007 G35 and all was well.

Seriously though I dream about working on cars about half the time I remember my dreams. Usually it involves the Hemi being broke down. I dream about my 1st car a lot too. 1986 Caprice Classic V8!

ArozonaG35:

We call such dreams, residual thoughts. Such thoughts have to be discharged like excess electricity in the form of dreams. This would suggest that you have a strong bond with your G-35 in ways stronger than the bond Jacko has with his G-35.

What you need to do is to love your G-35 like an Argentine Cowboy loves his cattle. Don't argue with your G, just love it. The more you argue in your mind with your G, the more you will experience residual thoughts, which will ultimately discharge in the form of dremas that break out into hot sweat in your sleep.

I love how Jacko refers to himself in the third person!

You're a hard one to figure out Jacko! Good times... that's about the hardest I've laughed in a while... nice analysis JACKO.

I understand the electric discharges you are talking about, but I haven't had them since I was 19 or 20 and my girlfriend was away on summer vacation.

I didn't know that cowboys in Argentina loved their cattle so. I know what Australian sheep herders do to their male dogs to make them "loyal", but you can't do that to a car anyway. Learn something every day.

I did not know there were cowboys in Argentina.

Just about the only reason SVT dreams about his Mach 1 is because of the girls he had in the back seat back in the day. Can we change his name to something like SVTContour (I saw one of those the other day, didn't know they existed)? Just for a couple days?

They had a SVT Focus as well. Have a friend up north that tracks his.

The SVT Contour was pretty cool too. Test drove one a long time ago.

I'll stick with the cobra
