Im suspecting my ARC is leaking above 11psi on GT28R, making engine cut-off.

Just wondering how much boost are you guys running with this BOV and whats its max boost capability. Thanks!

I was only running 7.5psi on mine, but it only leaked at idle. I imagine being ARC that it must be good for over 20psi. They only make race parts.

Have you tried turning up the boost at that time?

Referring to this thread: zerothread?id=128220Rexhunta stated he could run up to 14psi with ARC BOV without any leak.

I assumed he is running stock turbo at that time. Now if that is the case, it sounds like my situation since i could only run up to 11psi on my GT28R.

Well, I read his post more to say that he had no problems up to 14psi, not that he was limited to 14psi. I reallt really really dobut that your BOV is leaking at that boost. Unless of course the diaphram is torn, which in that case, that is not a fault of the BOV, but just normal wear.

I bought the ARC used so I cannot confirm its condition.

But when boosting over 9psi, I could hear venting/leaking noises coming from the BOV when full throttle. I thought they should vent only when you let go of the gas pedal..... which makes me wonder if it is really leaking on me.

disconnect and plug the vac line. Then get a rubber plug and plug the opening for the BOV and see if that solves your problem.

I as thinking last night, could one leave a BOV's vacuum source input open to atmosphere (plugging the line going to it), and get ghetto gas saver no turbo mode? lol.. on recirc anyways, wouldn't that make any boost recirc and stop boosting?

tho, whether it would really save gas vs normal since you now have a huge parasitic loss thats not giving power back... tho I suppose below the powerband the turbo could still push up to atmospheric to effectively increase VE...
