Has anyone driven their Versa in high altitude? How does it handle in the mountains? We're considering driving to Colorado this summer and will likely take the Versa. Thanks in advance...

about 4000-4500 is the highest I have gone with it so far. I am sure soon enough I will be taking it up to Big Bear to the cabin for a weekend, but not so sure when, as work has to permit that.

I took my V through the hills and mountains of all the the whole eastern seaboard. I'm not sure what the highest point was, but I couldn't even tell I was in the mountains. Did struggle, hiccup, or anything.

I live @ ~5900 ft in the Denver area, 9500+ miles. The Versa has more than enough power up here. Even on the 10,000+ft passes.

Don't use the 85 octane they sell as regular. Stick to the 87 as Nissan recommends as most of the gas up here is E10.

Watch your tire pressure, it may increase to 40+psi leading to a harsh ride. If you air down a bit, remember to refill as you desend to sea level.

Thanks for the quick replies! We'll be heading up to the Breckenridge area in July, so it's good t know the Versa will make the trip without much trouble. Awesome.
